MLB Monday Night Double-Header

Hope you enjoyed the free money I gave away Saturday with 4 solid money picks. The Magic closed out the series with the Cavs as predicted here; while the Cardinals, White Sox, and Tigers were all in the winners circle. Tonight should be equally as successful. Let's get that Bookie cheddar.

New York Yankees (-1.5 runs at -120) vs Cleveland Indians

The Tribe's Jeremy Sowers (1-2 7.71 ERA) heads to the mound to take on Joba Chamberlain (2-1 3.97 ERA) and George Costanza's beloved New York Yankees. Sowers posted a 12.00 ERA in losing two straight starts before yielding three hits over five scoreless innings of relief to earn an 11-10 win over Tampa Bay last Monday. Sowers will have ZERO room for error against an offense that showcases Mark Teixeira (batting .400 with eight homers and 20 RBIs during his 13 game streak) and Derek Jeter (batting .397 during a 14-game hitting streak). Play the Yankees tonight minus 1.5 runs.

Arizona Diamondbacks at Los Angeles Dodgers (-1.5 runs at +135)
Am I playing the Dodgers tonight because they are 18-5 at home? No. Playing the Dodgers because they have the best record in baseball? No. Playing the Dodgers because they are #1 in the power rankings? No. Play is on the Dodgers tonight because D'backs starting pitcher Billy Buckner (1-1, 7.16) was tagged for five runs in two-thirds of an inning of relief in an 11-2 loss to the Dodgers on April 11. Three days later, the right-hander was sent to Triple-A Reno. Damn son. Play the Dodgers minus 1.5 runs.

  1. Gotta keep your 2009 record. You're 4-0 going into tonight.

  2. Yank's Offense looking to be too much, Indians are plagued by injuries and having to rely on this Double A pitchers against A-Rod and Swisher is not good

  3. Baseball gambling seems like the easiest thing in the world.
